Its a lot cheaper than getting tickets at the Willis building. It's a great value and will save you a lot of time.
This was my 3rd time there but the first time going out on the ledge. It was a great experience and amazing view of the city. A must do when visiting Chicago.
This was my 4th time visiting the Skydeck of the Sears/Willis Tower and The Ledge when visiting Chicago. Although that initial rush of stepping out on The Ledge for the first time has worn off, yet the reason I am coming back again and again is taking loved ones here who have never been before. I love to see that rush that they get when they first step off the elevator to see the views from the Skydeck and then work our way around to The Ledge and they get up the nerve to step out on glass at that height!
Side-note to my fellow travelers: try to get there earlier in the day. I was there with a group at the week between Christmas and New Years and went toward the later part of the day...waited over 3 hours to make it into the building, to the ticketing area, up the elevator and in the lines for The Ledge (I hear 3 hours can be typical). However, with this trip just past in August, we got there at 10:30 a.m. walking straight to the elevator and up (no stopping). We did The Ledge twice (did one line on one side and then other line on the other side - just tell the attendants you got your picture taken on the other side when they ask for your photo ticket). and were back down on the ground all within an HOUR!!! So go in the morning if you can!
Definitely worth it. Usually the price is a lot higher, so it was nice getting a discount on here. I enjoyed the views and had great pictures.
I am so glad that I was able to experience the Skydeck!
It was a bit eerie yet very thrilling to actually step on the glass deck....
